On the same night of the Hesta Prynn show I took some video of I Love Lightning Bugs that I've been holding to for the past month. I did a video with ILLB back in September, but a lot has changed with the band. They have added keyboard/guitarist, Kate, to the band to help fill in their sound with some great backing vocals and melody. They also have a different drummer, so you could say it's almost a different band, except they still have the moving basslines from Rob and Ried's emotive vocals. They're shaping up to be one of Detroit's best kept secrets that I'm trying to share with this episode. They hopefully have an album coming out in January as I can't wait to play more of them, until them catch them at knerd.com, where all the cool indie bands can be seen and heard. Have a great new year and I'll come back early 2011 with an audio edition of Most People Are DJs and keep pushing out the great indie music and skewed intellect. My paid affiliate for the episode is Zazzle.com when you can get great t-shirts and other logo paraphernalia. You can also design your stuff and sell it to all your firends, fans, family, etc. You can save 10% at Zazzle.com when you use my code MOSTPEOPLE13 and be sure to check out my other offers at my mevio coupon page.

I saw Hesta Prynn play on Sunday Nov. 28 at PJs Lager House. This was one of those lucky nights where I brought along my video camera with no intentions and ended up with what I think is one of my better videos. Hesta was in the band Northern State and is now trying a go at a solo career. She has an ep out called "Can We Go Wrong" and you can receive an mp3 of the title track by signing up at her website.Hesta was great, doing the interview in her van where I could actually hear her voice. If you get the chance to see her perform, make sure you do, as you can tell from the video she puts on a great show. My affiliate for this show is Zazzle where you can save 10% when you spend $50 or more and use my coupon code MOSTPEOPLE12. You won't have any trouble finding $50 worth of stuff at Zazzle as they have billions of t-shirts and tons of other merchandise. You can find more coupon codes at my Mevio Coupon page.

It’s my 250th episode and I guess that pretty cool (see reference on my episode). I was just looking back through my past episodes and came to the realization that I’ve spoken to a lot of great people and it still surprises me who I’m able to sit down with for a conversation. For instance, Girl Talk may be breaking big now with his new release, “All Day” but I interviewed Greg Gillis or Girl Talk about 3 years ago (see MPAD#120). At one time I even had a few words with Billy Baldwin. And yes, I think he was drunk! On this episode, I talk the praises of Ke$ha, (really!) and give some info on each on the bands I play. music: Click here to Download the Show!
