Happy Day After Thanksgiving!
I've got an episode coming up this week, but I thought I would send out this promo for the Dec. 2nd MPAD episode because I'm really excited about it. I interview Greg Gillis, the man behind the super DJ, mixing, sound collage, mash artist Girl Talk. Enjoy the video, and comeback for the episode. One of my favorite podcasts is Bazooka Joe's small World Podcast where Joe sits down with bands, artists, and people just like you and me to talk about their and passion and drive in life. It's been on hiatus for the past couple of months with database/website issues. But, Joe has everything back together, small World Podcast is again ready for action, and I'm very pleased to be his guest. Joe shoots the hard-hitting questions at me and I fire back answers as if a gun were pointed at my head. Well, I'm exaggerating. We actually have a nice chat while I play a few songs I hold high on my list of great indie tracks. If you want to know more about the what and why of Most People Are DJs this is for you. And, keep listening to small World Podcast as Joe always keeps the show interesting.

Over the last couple of months I've seen a lot of shows and spoken with a lot of bands. This week I got a chance to see and speak with one of my favorite bands, the Hold Steady. It's always a tricky things interviewing a band on the night they play, there's noise, the bands could be distracted with playing that night (as they should) and it's a game of wait and see if the band has time to be interviewed. Luckily, Tad Kubler and Craig Finn from the Hold Steady were great guys to welcome me give me a few minutes of their time. On this episode I play the interviews along with some special music from the Hold Steady, a track from Art Brut who is also played that night. I also play the Mobius band and Mason Proper who play mater this week in Pontiac.
Art Brut - "Pump Up the Volume"
Mason Proper - "100 Years"

This edited video of "Your Little Hoodrat Friend" was taken from the Hold Steady's show at the Crofoot Ballroom on Oct. 29, 2007. This was just one of many memorable moments. Make sure to come back and listen to MPAD#116 where the Hold Steady is interviewed.
