Mikel O.D. - mostpeoplearedjs's Podcast - mostpeoplearedjs's Podcast

This week’s podcast is an audio audition running down the recent concerts I’ve been to and features a couple of interview clips with indie dance artist Tunde Olaniran. The show starts with a track by Cadence Weapon, a hip hop artist that fuses more of an indie pop element with his gifted rapping. I’ve been to a few shows lately that I tell you about next including Adam Ant on his first US tour in over 15 years. You can read a full review of the show here. I also talk about the Datsik show and the Hundred Waters, Julia Holter show. A track from Hundred Waters is featured. Their music is a blend of traditional instruments and electronics with female vocal harmonies that at times remind me Bjork. I wrap it all up with some talk on Walking Dead Season 3 and its violent, gory and brilliant first episode. Detroit Fanfare is Oct. 26 – 28 and is sure to be a good time with dozens of comic writers and artists. Teeel brings in the final track with a sprawling electronic song with a theme that is appropriately eerie.

Hundred Waters – Me and Anodyne
Tunde Olaniran – Brown Boy
